AM Session - Frog in the Bog

Happy Tuesday! This is the second day of Ms. Anschutz's lead week in the morning. The children were excited to see if there were any changes with Freddy frog at sign-in today. They noticed that Freddy grew a little bigger. Children drew their observations.

At circle time, the children listened to the story A Frog in a Bog, which had a lot of rhyming words and also helped us learn that frogs eat all kinds of bugs, not just flies.

Today we visited centers. Ask your child which center he/she visited today.

At the first center, children rolled a color die. Then they used tweezers to pick up a bug of that color and feed it to a frog. Children also graphed the color of the bugs they fed to their frog.

The second center cut out the parts of a frog and glued them together to create a frog.

The third center drew a picture of their favorite pond animal. Then they helped with writing about what their favorite pond animal is and why.

Then we played in the classroom.

After snack, the children reviewed letters. Then we went outside and learned how to play leap frog.

Have a great evening! :)
