The Wind Blew

Happy Tuesday! Today we continued talking about spring weather. Our focus was on wind. We read two different stories that incorporated the wind. The children especially liked Super Duck. Ask your child to tell you what happened in the story!

In the morning session, one of the students shared some cattails she found outside. We realized that they are a sign of spring too!

Then we visited centers. Ask your child which center he/she visited today.

The first center played a weather beginning sounds game.

The second center completed some wind experiments and recorded which objects they could or could not blow.

The third center played a raindrop number game. When the recording sheet comes home, spend some time reviewing the numbers on it with your child.

Then we played.

In the afternoon session, we celebrated Brooke's birthday. Thank you for the special treats!

After snack, we made our own umbrella Uu's for our alphabet books.

The afternoon session did not get to do their Umbrella Uu's and will do it tomorrow. We were too busy trying to decide on our classroom party for earning 5 BEAK awards! It was decided that we will have a movie and popcorn party. Right now it is looking like we will have our party on Thursday. Please make sure to check your child's folder tomorrow for a note!

Tomorrow we will learn about clouds and even complete a rain cloud science experiment!

Have a great evening! :)
