Leaf Man

Happy Tuesday! There was a substitute teacher in the classroom again so there are not many pictures from the day. We will be back to "normal" next week!

Today's story was Leaf Man. This is always a favorite story in 4K. The children enjoyed looking at the different pictures made out of leaves.

We learned the song "The Leaves on the Trees" today. Each child got to hold a leaf. When a color was named, all children holding that color leaf got to dance in the middle of the circle. It was a lot of fun!

One of the projects that the 4K students completed today was making a letter Ll alphabet book page. We used our fine motor skills to glue leaves on the letters.

In the morning, the children also made a letter Ll crown.

The afternoon session children learned about the number 4 and made a number 4 crown since they did not get to yesterday.

We also played in the classroom. Several children made beautiful fall coffee filter leaves. They loved watching the colors mix together.

After snack, the children shared their letter Ll mystery bags. There were some tricky items in those bags!

Both classes also went on a number 4 hunt around the room.
