Tigers

Happy Monday! Today we learned about tigers! Ask your child what he/she learned about tigers tonight.

We read both a fiction and nonfiction story about tigers.

Our project focused on strengthening our fine motor muscles by tearing paper to make torn paper tigers. This was much trickier than it sounds! Each tiger turned out to be very unique!

We enjoyed playing in the classroom! There were several helpers that enjoyed helping clean the room and toys again today! Some children also chose to may giant snakes and alligators during playtime.

In the morning session, we celebrated Jacob's summer birthday. Thanks for the special treats!

In the afternoon session,we celebrated Isaac's summer birthday. We hope you enjoyed your special celebration!

After snack, we completed a self-portrait assessment for our portfolios.

Then we went on a tiger hunt. When we found a tiger, we had to count the number of stripes on it and record it on our recording sheets. Some children did not finish the hunt, but may choose to finish it tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the FFA Animal Day! Please make sure your child wears comfortable walking shoes and has appropriate clothing for the weather, such as a jacket. The morning session will be going early in the morning so the grass may be wet and it may be cooler than later in the day.

Have a great evening!
