Zoom! Zoom! Zoom! 4K Is Off to the Moon!

Happy Wednesday! Today we continued with our space theme. Our story at circle time was titled Zoom! Zoom! Zoom! I'm Off to the Moon!. There were a lot of great rhymes in this story!

After reading the story, we talked about items we would like to pack to take with us to the moon.

We also reviewed our colors while singing the song "Crazy Color Creatures." It was silly rhyming song all about colors!

Then we visited centers. Ask your child which center he/she visited today.

The first center listened to rhymes and helped match cows to their rhyming moons. Then they practiced writing different lines to the tune of "The Mulberry Bush" at the listening center.

The second center rolled a die and counted cows onto the moon. We practiced taking turns and played until all the moons had a cow on them.

The third center used their "3 star coloring" to make an astronaut booklet.

Then we played in the classroom.

At closing circle, we sang "Crazy Color Creatures" again. Please take some time to work with your child on colors at home. Several children are struggling with identifying colors. Any time spent at home on colors will be of great benefit to your child.

We also shared some of our "About Me" projects. We will share more of the projects tomorrow too!

Book orders are due tomorrow! All orders will help us to get books for our classroom. We are trying to get sets of books for our listening center. Orders can be placed online at scholastic.com/readingclub or by sending an order form and check to school in your child's folder.

Have a great evening!
