Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

Happy Wednesday! Today we focused on our new nursery rhyme - "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." We have been saying our nursery rhyme each day this week and listening for the words that rhyme. Today's story was a version of our nursery rhyme. We enjoyed listening for all of the rhyming words in the story!

Next we visited centers. Ask your child which center he/she visited today!

The first center went on a star colors name hunt to find all the letters in their name. They love using the clipboards and searching for stars around the classroom!

The second center played a star colors board game. This center worked on social skills, counting, and color recognition.

The third center used their fine motor skills to make name constellations. This was a relaxing activity for our students. They did a great job of remembering to be safe with the push pins!

We enjoyed playing in our classroom. Space goop is still extremely popular and we have long lines of children waiting for their turn to play with it!

At closing circle, we read another Pete the Cat story. This one was another version of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star."

Then we reviewed colors while playing some color games on the SMART Board. You can play at home by clicking on the following link: Colors Game

Have a fantastic evening! :)
