Snowflakes

Happy Wednesday! Today we sang for a few other classes of the big kids in the school. We are sounding fantastic. Tomorrow will be our last rehearsal before the big show!

Today we learned that all snowflakes have 6 sides and there are no two snowflakes that are alike. We also talked about how all the sides of a snowflake are the same. Our project today was to make our own unique shape snowflakes. It was tricky remembering if we glued a shape on one side, we also had to glue the same shape on each of the other sides.

Our story today was all about a snowflake. The snowflake wished to be a part of a snowman. Ask your child if the snowflake got its wish and if so, which part of the snowman it was.

We also enjoyed playing in our classroom. The playdough has been popular this week.

We also played a snowflake number game on the SMART Board. The children love playing games on the SMART Board.

We also played the snowman counting game again today. It is a favorite of the 4K children this year!

Our elf was busy taking a bubble bath on Miss McCabe's desk this morning!

Thank you to everyone who sent in items for the holiday program. We are desperately short on treats. Over 400 people are expected. If anyone has time tonight, we would appreciate more treats for the program. I will be busy baking tonight, but as of now we don't have enough food for even 100 people. Please consider sending in more food tomorrow. Thank you for your help!

Just a few reminders for tomorrow night:

  • Your child is encouraged to dress nicely.
  • Please have your child to school no later than 5:30. We need time to get lined up, warm up our voices, and pass out props for the first song! It is critical that your child arrives on time!
  • Please remind your child that he/she will need to say "bye" to you when you drop him/her off so you can get good seats!
  • Remember your cameras!

Have a great evening! See you tomorrow night!
