Oh Lovely Mud!

Happy Monday! Today the children were excited to look at their completed ABC books. We worked on the books all year and as we looked at each page, we remembered all the exciting activities we did throughout the entire school year! Each child got to take his/her individual ABC book home today for a special keepsake.

Today's story was Mrs. Wishy-Washy. In the story, the animals get muddy and Mrs. Wishy-Washy has to give them a bath. The animals do not like the baths much, but they do love getting muddy (just like we loved getting muddy last week when we fingerpainted muddy pigs)!

We made headbands of the animal characters from the story. Children could choose to make a pig, cow, or duck headband.

Then we acted out the story. It was a lot of fun! :)

Of course, we enjoyed playing in the classroom and continuing to develop our social skills. Acting out Mrs. Wishy-Washy extended into playtime! :)

In the morning session, we celebrated Violet's birthday. Happy Birthday, Violet!

In the afternoon session, we celebrated Vince's birthday! We hope your day was special. Thank you for the special treats!

At closing circle, we enjoyed singing "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" together. Check your child's folder for some activities to do together at home to go along with the song! We also read a silly spin-off story.

Tomorrow we will do some planting in the school garden. Please wear old clothes that can get dirty.

Have a great evening! :)
